Welcome to

Primrose Centre

The Primrose  Centre, Oldham, is a purpose-built community facility that was developed as part of the Gateways to Oldham PFI project, delivered in partnership between Oldham Council, Inspiral Oldham, Great Places Housing Group and Wates Construction.

The building was completed in October 2014 and was officially opened by the then Mayor Cllr Akhtar.

The building is built on the former site of a multi decked housing block and flats that formed part of the Primrose estate on what was Myrtle Close and Romford Close.

The Primrose Centre is a modern venue in a great location and provides us with an excellent setting for the delivery of our adult community education programme. The staff are always extremely helpful and supportive of our range of activities

Chairman-Parkinson's

The Oldham Branch of Parkinson's UK has been using the Primrose Centre since 2018 when the Link Centre closed for refurbishment. We have been made extremely welcome by the staff and Paul the volunteer and very quickly settled in . When the Link Centre was to re open, before knowing there was no suitable room, we consulted our members at a meeting and they were overwhelmingly in favour of staying at the Primrose Centre. I think that speaks volumes about the Primrose Centre and what it offers.

Peaceful Minds CIC

Peaceful Minds is a Community Interest Company that provides one to one Counselling , Art Therapy, Family Therapy and Anxiety Management Group Therapy sessions to members of the public. We have been providing this voluntary service since April 2019 with the help of The Primrose Centre who have graciously provided us with a room for free to deliver our sessions. The sessions were held 2 to 3 times a week on average and if additional hours were needed then the Centre would always accommodate. The staff are absolutely lovely and we hope to continue working with them for a prolonged period of time, therefore would highly recommend this venue to other services and service users.
